From the reviews
Shearwater Cove is an absolutely amazing place, if I could give more stars I would. From the moment we arrived at the dock in Seward, we were welcomed by Rachel (our boat captain) with a warm and welcoming smile.
I don’t have enough good things to say about our stay at the Yurts at Shearwater Cove, this place is absolutely magical. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty, serenity, and thoughtful touches throughout the property.
This trip was the most amazing experience. There is so much to do and not near enough time. We stayed for 3 nights which gave us just the right amount of space to relax while exploring everything Shearwater has to offer. From beautiful scenery to activities to explore, I would come back again and again.
We had an incredible time at Shearwater Cove - despite the rain! The location is unbelievably beautiful and I was blown away by the amount of work they've put in to build Shearwater. The owners and staff were all great. Jason picked us up from Seward and gave us the lay of the land on the way to the Cove.
Getting married at Shearwater Cove
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
