It's one of my favorite places in the world. Upclose and personal. It has some of the most gorgeous views I've ever seen. I love these rare still days where the water is so still, it looks like Glass. The mountains reflections in the water are perfection. The blue color that radiants captivates me more than anything.
I've never been to a campground before it was right on the ocean where you can see wildlife so readily. All around you is ocean and mountains. This is easy access to the town of Seward and to the highway to reach Anchorage and Beyond.
Full disclosure: We are not RVers and did not stay here. BUT! We were so impressed with the location that we wanted to make sure people know about it. Located right next to the water and smack dab near everything in the downtown, the location really cannot be beat. We were there in September, so it was pretty empty.
This is a neat little park with a paved trail that shows off some of the coolest public features of Seward. Starts near the RV campgrounds and wraps up near the Alaskan SeaLife Museum. Lots of amazing views and wildlife to see.
Getting married at Waterfront Park
Waterfront Park is a public beach or park, so a ceremony here almost always needs a permit from the managing city, county, or state parks office — and the rules matter: many public beaches cap your guest count, set ceremony windows, and restrict what you can set up (some ban chairs, arches, and amplified sound entirely). There's no on-site coordinator, catering, or weather backup, so you'll bring your own vendors and a rain plan. The payoff is a stunning setting at a fraction of a private venue's cost.
