A beautiful, quaint property for a lovely weekend getaway. My husband and I really enjoyed our time here - it was quiet, relaxing and very soothing. The birds chirping outside are such a treat and the property overall has really good vibes. The bed and sheets were very comfy.
Stayed here 3 years ago and decided to come back again for 2 days for our anniversary. Forgot how much I love this place. Rooms are clean and well appointed, the grounds are beautiful with lots to do, bikes are there for the taking and biking the Island is our favorite thing to do, Cresent beach is walking distance…
We recently stayed in a deluxe king room, and it was wonderful - the Inn is meticulously clean and makes for a great home base for a stay on Shelter Island. We enjoyed the plush robes, relaxing pool, and complimentary coffee.

First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
