Needed a place to stay for the weekend with our boxer dog, so booked it. To be honest, At first glance it looks a bit sketchy. However, the rooms are super cute and cozy. Contactless checking made it a breeze, and they had a dog basket filled with towels, treats, extra sheets and a mat for their bowls.
This is the cutest little place. Older property, but the owners have taken obvious pride in updating and making the rooms spectacular. From the whirlpool extra large tub to the generously sized rooms themselves. I had no real complaints.
We stayed in the lighthouse/room 5 over Thanksgiving. The location is super convenient and close to town. Arrival is easy. Room was clean when we arrived. However, it has a really strong, bad smell, like moth balls. We tried to air it out and open windows, but it was cold at night, so not totally feasible.
Getting married at Shoreline Cottages
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
