Stayed 2 nights and very much enjoyed our stay! The rooms were a nice size, very clean and tidy. Distance to downtown wasn’t far, easy drive and was able to find parking both on property and downtown with ease.
What an awesome roadside motel! Everything is super clean and the room is well decorated and very inviting! They have remembered all the little extras details that make you feel right at home!
It is clean and accommodating, but does not have a crab boiler. They do offer a covered gas firepit with a bbq. Easy to get to waterfront or beach access from here, but not walking distance for most, driving distance is less than 20 minutes for most recreational stuff. Might use this place again since it is so clean.
Silver Sands is all you could ask for from a motel. For $80, the room is very clean, provides complimentary coffee and water, and a roku tv with all streaming services. Excellent location, being across the street from a coffee stand and near everything else in westport. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
Getting married at Silver Sands Motel
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
