A few of my friends (who didn’t know each other) recommend Ocean Spray when I asked for ideas for a socially distanced vacation on the coast. It was perfect and Diane is lovely and checked in with us to see how we were doing and gave us excellent suggestions for exploring the area.
My wife and our 3 little dogs stayed here end of May, beginning of June 2024. We decided to stay a couple extra days due to the warm, friendly staff who were very accommodating. Anna and her husband were great, worked with us to add extra days without making it complicated.
Stayed here for a few nights with my friend. You can tell that they are updating the cottages and I hope they continue to do so. The one we were in was an older one. The shower was super tiny and the door was very hard to close on the bathroom and loud to do so.
My 2 sisters and I stayed here a week ago. One of my sisters recommended it because she and her family have stayed here several times. There are new owners since she last stayed. There were a few minor issues during our stay but they were quickly addressed.
Getting married at Ocean Spray Beach Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
