Just checked out of cabin 7 this morning. My husband, three kids, two dogs and I LOVED everything about this place!! So cute and rustic. Gorgeous waterfront location. Everything necessary in kitchen to cook meals. Beds were comfortable. We loved the front porch swing.
Absolutely loved everything about Silver Sands! We came up for a family reunion and 25 of us stayed for a magical week. Cabins are well equipped, spotless and charming. I would not personally consider them to be rustic with all the comforts of home, television and electricity.
Just got home. Stayed a week and had a terrific time. You can't beat the location. Beaches and fishing if you head west on 2, or head north to places like Hessel and Cedarville for more fishing and exploring. Everywhere you go, clean fresh water. Half hour to 40-minute max drives to do anything you want outdoors.

Getting married at Silver Sands Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
