While I’ve never stayed at this location before, I’ve experienced excellent customer service while traveling in Sitka. I mindlessly left two rings in the restroom during a port visit while on a cruise. I didn’t realize my jewelry had been left behind until hours later. I would’ve taken a shuttle back to retrieve them.
Clean room and comfortable bed. Easy to get extra towels and soap. Packaged snacks and drinks available to buy in lobby. Some noise outside our window late at night, but not too bad. Had to keep the window open as it was very warm inside the room. The view outside our window was awesome.
Very basic room. Bed is comfortable very and soft. The bath amenities like lotion and soaps could use an upgrade. Pillows could use an upgrade as well. Location is excellent and the staff is always very nice.
Getting married at Southeast Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
