We had our family reunion at the Southern Charm in May with 25 adults and 20 children. It was the perfect place for a group our size. Plenty of room for socializing and games during the day and having 16 bedrooms each with a bathroom was perfect for families to return to their privacy near bedtime.
Southern Charm was the perfect location for our ladies’ retreat. The views of the ocean were stunning. Each room has different beach themed colors and appointments. The towels were fluffy and everything was so clean. Coordination with the owner couldn’t have been better.
Our week at Southern Charm was phenomenal! We came to celebrate the 90th Birthday of our mom who is also a grandma and great grandma! The entire family (all 30 of us ranging in age from 90 years old to 6 months old) felt right at home. Southern Charm had everything we needed!
Getting married at Southern Charm in Holden Beach
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
