“The only downside to this venue as a wedding spot is that the “bridal suite” is pretty small and doesn’t have its own private bathroom, or a space for family or groomsmen separately.”

From the reviews
We hosted our wedding at Sunset Bay this spring and it was an incredible experience. It’s a beautiful, large space offered at a great value for the area considering what we got. Almost all of my guests went out of their way to tell us it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to!
We had our wedding here and our guests could not stop telling us how much they loved the venue. Incredible outdoor spaces, attentive staff, and a great layout for an event.
Sunset Bay Lodge was the absolute perfect venue for our wedding. Premier location, stunning views, and they even provided amazing weather on the day of! Karri and Kim absolutely rocked as partners in throwing an awesome party. Our guests could not stop raving about the venue, the views, and the party as a whole.

Getting married at Sunset Bay Lodge at the Ballard Elks
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
