We called the resort directly to make our reservation and it was just as smooth and easy as breathing...the staff are super friendly and unpretentious! There's an indoor heated pool that is just Nirvana after a long day of travel and beach colming.This place is so nice! It's clean, it's well appointed!
I've never stayed in a Resort right on the beach. What a treat, to be able to smell the fresh ocean air, hear the wonderful waves, play in the water & sand! Relaxation starts immediately, when bare feet touch sand & salt water and the rhythm of waves coming & going.
It’s cheap for a reason! A bit run down, furniture (couch) very old and dirty, bedding low quality. Acceptable level of clean overall, but use/grime in the details. Bed was very spring noisy and pillows are very sad. No air conditioning. Wifi sucks! Huge rooms. Could be a great value if its your thing.
This is our favorite place to stay on the Oregon coast. Rooms are spacious, the view of the ocean is stunning, and atmosphere a great price. They also have family units and a building with rooms where you can have your pets. Indoor swimming pool is an added bonus.
Getting married at Surfside Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
