Absolutely stunning view, great bistro and nice rooms. Stayed in the honeymoon suite and it is perfect for a weekend or more getaway. Even though the website doesn't say so, it does have a TV and microwave. Don't pass up on this place just because of a few not so great reviews. We took a chance and it was the best.
I go to the Beach Club all the time with my wine guests. Great views, Ive heard great cocktails, (I'm the DD) and Josh the Bartender slash Chef is extremely talented with both food and drink. Love this place.
We stayed here for 3 nights and had a lovely visit. If you are looking for modern, fancy, or formal, this is not for you. If you are not an easy going, flexible, kind and forgiving person, this is not for you.
We made an absolute last minute reservation here at the end of the season! I'm so happy we did too! As others have mentioned the view and setting are spectacular! I can definitely see having a wedding here! We were greeted by the owners and the remaining staff, ALL OF THEM were so accommodating and friendly!
Getting married at Suttons Bay Beach Club & Lodge
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
