I'm so glad that my husband chose this Inn for our stay. We wanted to experience hiking Acadia, checking out the carriage roads, and relaxing. This was the perfect location. We could easily get to Bar Harbor, experience Northeast Harbor, and also spent a day in Southwest Harbor.
This was literally one of my favorite hotels ever. Do yourself a favor and BOOK this! It has everything and they absolutely crushed it with their new renovations! Amazing views on the water, heated pool and hot tub, incredible restaurant (I am very picky about my food and it was actually craft) a SPEAKEASY?!
Our stay at the Asticou Hotel was exceptional from beginning to end. It's rare to find a hotel where every detail feels so thoughtfully considered, but that is exactly what Asticou has accomplished.
What a wonderful experience at Asticou Hotel. We stayed for 3 nights (drove from Ontario, Canada) and loved the property and grounds. We spent a few sunny afternoons by the pool, which also exploring Bar Harbor etc. The staff were so accommodating and the hotel was very clean and gorgeously decorated.
Getting married at The Asticou Hotel
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
