From the reviews
The BEST hotel we could have asked for. If you’re looking for a quiet, quaint hotel with incredible, genuine service, The Avalon is for you. I was very impressed with their customer service at all times of the day - in a world where customer service feels forced and fake..
Everything about this hotel 🏨 is superb the outside patio with the pond is very relaxing ☺️ You can go get food and go there and chill and if you want to see a view go to the rooftop and you will have 360 views and lots a places to sit and eat privately. The staff is extremely welcoming and kind!
The Avalon Hotel is is the perfect location for walking into downtown or escaping to the rooftop deck to enjoy the harbor view and night sky. The courtyard garden offers a private oasis for relaxing with family and friends. The staff were all friendly and very welcoming.
Getting married at The Avalon Hotel on Catalina Island
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
