Our family stayed at the Main House of the Bayhouse & Bungalows of Fairhope this past Thanksgiving and we couldn’t have been more pleased. We traveled from out of state and had family from north Alabama join us for the Holiday. The accommodations were comfortable and beautifully decorated.
I was looking for a little get a way in Fairhope. These bungalows were perfect! What a great location! Beautiful, clean and quiet! Walk out the front door and take a walk along the bay path. Sit on the front porch rockers and relax. Beth Anne, the manager was very helpful and answered all questions immediately.
It is rare that the property seen online is so reflective of the physical property. We’ve stayed at a lot of properties. We’ve yet to experience a rental that has EVERY conceivable staple and refreshment we could think of.
Getting married at The Bay House & Bungalows of Fairhope
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
