We had a blast on our first visit to this historic venue. It featured a showing of The Princess Bride - complete with prop bags, audience members in movie-themed costumes, and 50-cent bags of popcorn! We hope to return soon! Thank you, COH Staff!
Nice venue, guys vibe. The sound system was adequate, not great. Pretty warm and was not a hot day. You had better know where to sit as a lot of blocked or hindered view of stage. I'd only go back in cool weather with better seats. We sat to the side, there was a column blocking the center of stage, as told, my bad...
Cannot recommend enough for your next event!! The staff and space are exceptional, truly like no other. They made our entire wedding weekend an absolute dream, adding to the unforgettable memories of that special day. Thank you, Clayton Opera House...we are so grateful!!

Getting married at The Clayton Opera House
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
