Absolutely Perfect Wedding/Party Venue! We recently had our wedding at The Fish Tank Capo, and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice. This venue is such a hidden gem—unique, welcoming, and full of character. It immediately made us and our guests feel comfortable, safe, and completely at home.
Very unique event venue. I attended a wedding, but I believe they also have live music events too. The catered food was good and the staff was friendly.
We recently had the opportunity to DJ a Wedding Reception at The Fish Tank in Capistrano Beach (34233 Via Santa Rosa, Dana Point), and it immediately impressed us. Start with the owner. Cate is professional, responsive, and genuinely collaborative. Communication is clear.
This space is a true hidden gem. The owner was absolutely amazing and supported everything we wanted to create with kindness I would recommend it because it is fantastic! And we would not hesitate to have an event with Kate again.
Getting married at The Fish Tank
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
