My daughters wedding was amazing. The Ballroom it self is an eye sore. The tall ceilings. The entrance into the ballroom. The decorations. We had the ceremony and reception in the ballroom. After the ceremony. It didn’t take long for the staff to transform the room into an inviting and warm reception area.
Kathryn is absolutely amazing to work with. She is super responsive and very supportive of our upcoming wedding in September. She has been a pleasure to work with the last 2 months and we are so excited for our big day thanks to Kathryn! We also can’t wait for our special day at JMB!
Beautiful ballroom! My friend got married here and the wedding was beautiful! Acoustics were perfect, seating was ample, and the view of downtown SF was classy. Food servers and barman were very professional. If you can afford it, this ballroom will be yours and you wont regret it.
One word - spectacular! We had our wedding at this venue. This was a Hindu wedding on a weekday with a relatively small party of 60 guests. And everything was just spectacular. Right from the very first email to the time we left happily married.
Getting married at The Julia Morgan Ballroom
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
