My fiancee and I just had our Wedding Shower here. The view of the lake alone is absolutely beautiful! With a little decoration you can turn it into a small event space for just about any occasion!
Great little gem, stop by and take a tour, pack a picnic basket and have lunch. Take a stroll on the boardwalk, or walk the beach. Gorgeous views and relaxing views.
The park is serene. Enough beach. Access to water for kayaks, paddleboards, etc. Picnic area's. Park for kicking or throwing a ball. Restrooms. Party Center and Room in the House too for events. Back porch facing the lake with docking chairs, a peaceful place to sit.
Folger Home was the perfect facility for our anniversary party! Super clean kitchenette and restroom, spacious dining area, friendly porch arrangement, and stellar view of the lake! It was so much fun! Avon Lake can be proud of this!
Getting married at The Lake House
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
