What couples highlight
“When reflecting on our beautiful day, a common theme was how perfect the venue was, not just for the beautiful location and amenities but because of the fantastic staff.”
From the reviews
My wife and I had our wedding reception at the Lodge, and we had the most incredible day of our lives. Milan, Ana and the rest of the staff went above and beyond consistently and had the highest degree of professionalism.
This place is a gem. It is "old school" and dated, but that is part of what makes it great. Stayed for 3 nights for a fishing trip, plenty of on-site boat parking and can use the launch immediately across the street which is great making it the closest location to getting out on the lake side .
The staff at the Lodge are beyond wonderful and so incredibly kind! The hotel is in a beautiful location and extremely convenient to all the wonderful things Door county has to offer. The hotel was clean and we would absolutely stay there again!
Getting married at The Lodge at Leathem Smith
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
