A year ago today, June 21, 2025, the sun hung perfectly over The Maine of Williamsburg, casting a golden glow across a day that seemed to unfold exactly as we had dreamed it would. Every time I have tried to write a review for our experience at The Maine, the words never seem to do it justice.
From the very first time I reached out to the Maine, I’ve been met with quick and friendly responses. It only amplified when I went for the first tour and met Tracy in person. During the tour, it was so evident that her and her team had truly thought of EVERYTHING when planning the venue and its spaces.
If I could give The Maine of Williamsburg more than 5 stars, I would!! From the moment we walked in for our first tour, we felt at home. The team was so welcoming and genuine and we never felt like we were being sold a venue.
Getting married at The Maine of Williamsburg
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
