From the reviews
A wonderful place. We had our wedding at the Masthead and John and his team were extraordinary. We rented out the entire resort, and the array of room sizes, types and budgets was perfect for our guests. We were so happy with the experience that we've stayed there several times since.
I was the wedding planner for a wedding held on 10-08-2022. The staff were beyond gracious and welcoming. Anything we needed was right there. The location was beautiful. The couple were married on the beach and it was very exciting to be their very first beach ceremony.
We booked a stay here without much information, and absolutely fell in love. This place is incredible. Private and quiet resort but just a quick walk to downtown (less than 10 minutes). There's no pool, but every unit is RIGHT on the ocean, complete with beach chairs and a few steps straight onto the sand.
Stayed for a week. The staff is really nice! The rooms have character and personality. The location is good too because its just barely far enough from the busy section that you avoid the bar and club people, but youre 0.7 miles away from walking.
Getting married at The Masthead Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
