Beautiful summer day and a fun stop after lunch to explore some the Pilgrim monument and learn about some of the history . There is no wait when we got here on a weekday and we came straight through . It is a bit pricey but at the end of the day it’s part of the historical experience.
Definitely a must see! Very cool to see the tip of Cape Cod from the tower. The parking was only $20 for the whole day! The staff was really courteous and friendly and informative. The museum part was neat and interactive. The tower was easy to climb. Very few stairs, mostly ramps. At the top.
The visit to the tower itself is not a particularly remarkable experience, nor is the view from the top especially impressive. It is a nice experience, but nothing extraordinary. However, the museum is truly worth visiting.
I visited this location while on a work detail. The view from the top is absolutely amazing. On a clear day, you can see the skyline of downtown Boston, so I've been told. For me, the harbor was enough. I can only imagine what a sunrise and sunset would look like from up there. The walk up to the top isn't bad at all.
Getting married at Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
