If you’re looking for a wedding venue in Long Beach, all of their pricing was very straightforward, and the reception package included a day-of coordinator, wedding cake, room for the night of, tables, linens, chairs, and the dance floor.
We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Maya - a DoubleTree by Hilton! The atmosphere alone sets this place apart—it’s vibrant, unique, and definitely not your typical cookie-cutter hotel experience like a standard Hilton.
Our rooms were beautiful. We had a balcony with an ocean view. They were clean and spacious. I liked how they provided transportation to port our ship and we were able to leave our vehicle parked until we got back. The restaurant was expensive but we enjoyed it. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Rooms were super clean, property was well taken care of at all times. Unfortunately microwave is not provided in room :/ so beware of keeping takeout. Pool is beautiful and has a gorgeous view of the ocean and the city across the water.
Getting married at The Maya (formerly Hotel Maya)
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
