We had our wedding here this past weekend and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Heidi helped us out with planning from doing our tour, to showing us our options, to planning down to the final detail. She was always responsive and quick to answer any question I had.
The Reef is the absolute best place to have your wedding. We just had ours and we’re absolutely blown away by the entire experience. The view took our breath away, food was delicious, just like the tasting, the staff were so kind, fun and helpful.
Great location for scenic views of downtown Long Beach, especially during sunset. Good food and great service. The fish dishes were especially good. The scallops could have used a better sear and they seemed a tad fishy, but overall a flavorful dish. The clam chowder is terrific.

Getting married at The Reef on the Water
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
