I recently stayed at The Ranch at Laguna Beach and my only regret is that I didn't have more time! This property is an incredible find—it feels like a lush, hidden oasis nestled right in the canyon, yet it’s conveniently located just across the street from the beach.
Everything about our stay has been amazing. The staff especially has made this stay extra special. From the surprise birthday gifts to my son's welcome gift even when he was feeling sick....they were nice enough to call my room and bring him some get well snacks and a cute stuffed animal. Top notch staff!
I’d come back here every year if I could. The atmosphere, the location and vibe make this a magical destination. As a bonus, the spa is legit and they have a 2 acre farm where they harvest their own produce for the restaurants.
A truly special place with exceptional service. It isn’t inexpensive, but it is absolutely worth it for the one-of-a-kind wilderness experience—just across the street from the ocean. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed with modern amenities. And free parking was such a welcome bonus.
Getting married at The Ranch at Laguna Beach
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
