From the reviews
We had our wedding weekend at The Resort at Longboat Key Club, and it was absolutely perfect! As locals, we wanted a beachfront wedding with a golf course feel, and this venue gave us the best of both worlds.
The resort is stunning! I had a lagoon facing room with a king bed, kitchenette, washer/dryer, gorgeous bathroom, and a living area. It was spacious, spotless, and absolutely relaxing. When I first arrived to my room the ceiling fan was on and the TV was playing gentle waves ambient music.
It's hard to find words to describe how amazing of an experience my husband and I had having our wedding at this resort. Everything was 11/10 - every single person who works here is incredibly kind and helpful which we found out from day 1 of wedding planning.
I came for a couple days of meetings, but got a vacation as a bonus! The rooms are immaculate and reflect thoughtful and tasteful design. The balconies are large enough to sit outside and enjoy the breeze coming off the water.
Getting married at The Resort at Longboat Key Club
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
