From the reviews
I booked this motel for a surprise for my parents for their anniversary gift. I had some complications with my card trying to book online through booking.com so i called and spoke with Sydney. She was super professional and helped me with getting my parents a room that was suitable for their needs.
This is one of my favorite hotels in the area. It's not a chain or anything like that. It is a little bit older hotel but it's been renovated and updated inside and it's really a nice place to stay. And best of all its Oceanfront which I love.
My daughter and I had a great stay at the Sand Dunes after moving her out of college. Clean comfortable room. AC worked great. Nice location away from crowds, but close to a few restaurants and right on the beach. We did not use the pool, but it look very clean with nice clean furniture around it.
Withing walking distance to nearby restaurants, stores, great view of the ocean, loved the beach. Motel was close to everything we wanted to do. Need more tech in the rooms especially USB ports. Great place to stay, felt safe on the beach and will probably stay there again.
Getting married at The Sand Dunes Motel
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
