Perfect location to see the sunset at the Outer Banks. It is located near the bridge to Roanake Island. We just happened to find it our last night on the island and glad we did. Stunning views of a gorgeous sunset over the sound side of the island.
It's a great location to hold multiple events and festivals. The annual car show is very impressive. There are plenty of vendors and food trucks at all the events. It's located perfectly in Nags Head. Good sunset spot also.
Nice venue for a craft fair, farmers market, etc. There were a lot of wonderful craft vendors and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. It was very dog friendly.
A beautiful location for most any outdoor event. Sound-side location with great views of the Roanoke Sound. Open green space in the heart of the Outer Banks.
Getting married at The Soundside Event Site
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
