I've known for a very long time that the Startup Building was my first choice for my wedding reception venue, and was so excited that it was available on my wedding day even though because of extenuating circumstances we weren't able to book far in advance.
We had the best experience hosting my daughter's wedding lunch, ring ceremony and reception here. It was cool inside on a hot day and shady in the courtyard. It's such a beautiful, unique venue and so many of our guests told us how much they loved it. We had lots of guests with kids and there was space for everyone.
My husband and I had our wedding here this last September and I couldn’t recommend this venue more. It was so affordable, we were able to pick up keys super early and we had it for the entire day.
This was a fantastic venue for our daughter's wedding reception. Beautiful space that required minimal decorating to still look wonderful. (Nice since we had to travel from a different state) Courtney was amazing to work with and very responsive to our questions. Highly recommend!
Getting married at The Startup Building Event Space
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
