From the reviews
The Westin Princeville is a beautiful property. We are Marriott owners and are very pleased with the Westin acquisition and have stayed here as well as the Westin in Cabo San Lucas. Suggestions for Princeville: 1.
We are Marriott owners, but at a different property. Yes, this property has downsides like no convenient beach, and the pool gets busy. But overall, we like coming here for several reasons. The rooms are good sized and well maintained. The grounds are beautiful. This whole side of the island is beautiful.
Outstanding resort, wish we had more time to enjoy its grounds. Booked a garden view studio. Not sure why it’s called garden view? We had great views of the ocean from the room. Could easily stayed a week or longer in this size room. Room had a mini kitchen with full size refrigerator.
Location makes this place get 5 stars, if you like to be away from busy town/city settings then this is it. Mountains on one side and the ocean on the other. This is not a beach resort. There is a beach accessible from the right side of the resort, it's steep walk and not good if it had rained or is raining.
Getting married at The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
