From the reviews
Family owned and run, gorgeous views, clean, lovely little rooms! We would definitely return as we were only able to stay for one night. This place is a charm on the edge of Tomales Bay - so beautiful and serene with clean and comfortable, modernized rooms.
Tomales Bay Resort is such a peaceful getaway. My room overlooked the bay and even had a cozy fireplace, which made the evenings feel extra special. I loved being able to sit right outside the room to relax and take in the serene views.
I visited Tomales Bay Resort and Marina while on set filming virtual tours for work, and I was blown away. The setting is so serene—right on the water with breathtaking views of the bay. The fresh air felt so invigorating.
Stayed for 1 night late October. I've stayed here many times and in most of the rooms. It's pretty simple, very clean, comfortable and quiet. I stayed mid week, shoulder season and in the cheapest room and it was still $200. These days bayside in Pt Reyes , that's a bargain.
Getting married at Tomales Bay Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
