We came in off season and stayed 2 nights in cabin #2. Cabins have electricity/water but look rustic with the knotty pine walls. Very charming! The bed needs a new mattress but that didn't keep us from enjoying our stay. Beings it was off season they weren't full and it was very quiet. Great place for families.
The hidden gem of Michigan. This place has the best beach in Thunder Bay! The cabins are well maintained and the owners are so nice! You won't find a better view or better beach anywhere near here.
Very fun place for the family. Was hard to get the 2 yr old away from the beach with the playground out there. Amazing place to relax for a family vacation
The Rouses are amazing hosts! The location is incredible and there's plenty to do. Since the owners treat you like family, we had a chance to catch up and visit. All the guests get along great. The same people have been coming here for decades. I love the beach and the Sunrise is amazing! There's so much history here!
Getting married at Trelawny Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
