From the reviews
We stayed at Union Bluff for a couple nights in October as a little get-away. We had a corner room with lots of windows looking out on the ocean and beach across the street. I could see the waves breaking while I laid on the bed. The bed was extremely comfortable. They put lots of toiletries in the bathroom.
Stayed here this past weekend- a random off-season weekend and…in my opinion, this is the way to do York. If you come in the winter, just know everything is basically closed, and you’ll quickly realize how the locals actually live...which is kind of the best part.
You cannot beat the accessibility. Any charge upfront saves you in the end because you are better off walking than moving your car to find a new spot. Liquor store is one back alley away. The rooms come equipped with SLIPPERS and Poland Spring waters. A huge win in my book!
Union Bluff is a beautiful, historic property in a quaint beach town. Room was lovely and large. Nice and cool on a hot day. More importantly, staff and ownership were extremely helpful and worked with me when my trip was disrupted by a medical emergency. Would highly recommend and intend to return.
Getting married at Union Bluff Hotel & Meeting House
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
