From the reviews
Wonderful hotel, ideal location. My family and I have been coming here for years…. After our most recent trip, I feel compelled to write a review outlining my interactions with one of the staff members there. I believe she goes by “Donna”. So friendly, super helpful, & Incredibly knowledgeable.
Great location and family friendly. Loved that there was an indoor and outdoor pool and restaurant across the street. Beach is directly across the street and mant things in walking distance. Would be a good basecamp spot for Ogunquit or areas farther north.
I come here at least once a year with my granddaughter. Its our favorite Maine family destination. Your facility is always clean and tho people say it needs to be updated I can forgo the update as long as its clean and kept up as well as can be expected.
The staff and other guests were super friendly. The room seemed recently redone and had a lot of great features like dimming lights, a little porch, and a microwave and refrigerator. The only inprovement would have been if we were able to cast streaming apps to the TV from our phones to watch movies.
Getting married at Anchorage Inn
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
