My wife and I just back from a quick getaway to Nantucket - our first time on the island. A friend recommended the Nantucket Resort Collection properties, and we are so thrilled we took the recommendation! Our stay at Veranda House was simply wonderful.
The Veranda House is a lovely hotel and their staff from the moment of arrival couldn’t be happier to assist you with your stay. Cedilla checked us in and gave us royal attention and treatment along with Kara the general manager. We are celebrating our anniversary and first trip to Nantucket!
We spent the week before Labor Day at Veranda House and enjoyed the hotel thoroughly. We had a problem with the reservation of our own doing and the staff corrected the situation more than equitably. If you like new and clean in a traditional setting I suspect you too will love this place.
Veranda house was absolutely amazing. Service was wonderful and extremely kind staff who are willing to help you with anything you need. Great location, rooms are extremely clean and cozy. Will definitely be staying here on our trip this fall!
Getting married at Veranda House by Nantucket Resort Collection
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
