We just wrapped up our fifth consecutive New Year's stay at Vespera, and it continues to be our favorite spot on the Central Coast. The location is simply unbeatable; having direct access to the boardwalk and the best views of the Pismo Pier and beach makes for an incredible atmosphere.
We stayed at Vespera Resort on Pismo Beach, Autograph Collection for two nights while I was attending a work conference, and overall this was a very strong experience. We had a room with two queen beds, which was fairly standard in layout but high quality in finish.
I had an amazing stay at the Vespera Hotel in Pismo Beach and couldn’t have picked a better place to celebrate my 50th birthday. From the start, the staff asked if we were celebrating a special occasion, and when I mentioned it was my 50th, they went above and beyond.
This Marriot Signature Hotel is a gem!! The views are spectacular to the beach and convenience of walking right to the beach, and shops in Pismo Beach. The service was excellent 👍, your staff is very helpful, welcoming, and so attentive to our groups needs. I am going to definitely come back for a personal trip.

Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
