I had my wedding here and it was absolutely so beautiful and special. Charlene was amazing and everything flowed super smoothly. My guests came from out of town and raved about staying at the hotel. Me and my husband stayed there too and the rooms were clean and beautiful with amazing views.
We had our wedding here and we could not recommend them more! Our coordinators Charlene & Kayleigh were excellent and attentive and all the staff helped our weekend go off without a hitch! Our guests had so many great things to say about the rooms as well!
Village by the Sea in Wells, Maine is an absolute gem and the perfect place for a relaxing coastal getaway.. The spacious townhouse-style accommodations are clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, making them ideal for families, couples, or longer stays.
I love the layout for this place, very romantic, quiet, beautiful location. Only thing I would say is, I wish someone cleaned the jacuzzi more often, like for real, very itchy after use...Because of the amount of people coming in, started to look really foggy by day 2... like potential uti.
Getting married at Village by the Sea

First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
