We had our wedding here and stayed in one of the rooms as well. The staff did a phenomenal job with our service, decorated the beach perfectly, and provided a once in a lifetime experience. I couldn't begin to thank them enough. Tammy is by far an exceptional person to work with.
Great place but minimal beach access. If you want to walk on the beach every day stay in the 100 units near Driftwood Beach. They had to put giant rock barriers up to prevent erosion. They have a nice beach boardwalk, gazebo, chairs, and playground. Older units but affordable and I like it for our family.
Not a 5 star resort but I love it here. The rooms have been renovated and the people who run the place are wonderful. Crystal at the front is so helpful and when I had scheduling issues she made it work for me. The manager was friendly and helped me with all the stuff I brought.
This was my second stay at Villas by the Sea Resort. The location is wonderful the view of the beach and ocean was breathtaking. We could actually see dolphins swimming. The best part was watching the sun come up over the horizon and listening to the sound of the ocean in the evening.
Getting married at Villas by the Sea Resort and Conference Center
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
