My good friend and his wife had their wedding reception here last September. Since it was early in the month the weather was just right. Not too cold or too warm. The location was very nice and I admired the western view towards the city. The newlywed couple arrived to the restaurant via small boat and I loved that!
Me and my wife had our wedding reception here, and everyone was extremely helpful. It has an amazing view of Boston and the water reflects off the bay like stars. The bar was always serviced, and the price was not exorbitant. An excellent choice for anyone seeking a good reception for their marriage!
FANTASTIC!!! Had my daughter's Sweet 16 at the upper Hall with the deck. Room looks AMAZING. Staff was completely accommodating. Noreen - the Hall's Event Coordinator - is excellent. Patient, accommodating, helpful, accessible, professional yet friendly and approachable.
Great location on the water. Great prices on drinks, you do have to be a member or an invited guest though.
Getting married at Winthrop Elks
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
