This is one of the nicest locations that we've been able to enjoy. Only minor issues that were quickly dealt with when mentioned. We like the "off season", if you can call it that, for our vacations. Depoe Bay is very relaxing but still all the activities that one may want at the resort and surrounding area.
The views are amazing, the layout of the rooms are good, but the bathroom and kitchen have some wonky cabinets and drawers, with an oven that doesn't fully open and hits the fridge. Did I say the views are amazing!? Because they are! Kids had fun at the Southside pool, small gaming area and a decent workout space.
One of us not the best places to stay on the Oregon Coast! We the views are worth every penny. The whale watching is second to none as far as from land at least. From the third floor picture window you see whales spouting every min or two in peak season.
Breathtaking views! Rooms are... Moderate. On the smaller side, no ac. The walls are very thin, we could hear noise from every direction. Above us were a herd of elephants, sounded like stomping the whole time. The fan also kept making a 'click, click, click' sound. The outlet sparked when I plugged in my charger.
Getting married at WorldMark Depoe Bay
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
