Wow! What an incredible time we had at the Ark! It is the perfect location for our ministry retreat. Peaceful, yet close to amenities. The home and cabins have everything you will need. The home was immaculate. We had a large group and had plenty of room to spread out to collaborate or spend alone time!
I can't begin to express how awesome of a time my family and I had here! This place is GIGANTIC - so many rooms and different living areas that give enough privacy for multiple families or groups, yet the environment is so welcoming and cozy at the same time.
The Ark is truly one of the best local places to unwind, relax and retreat. My first visit was with the owners of Cabin Connoisseur, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. The property is exquisitely decorated, offering plenty of space for everyone to enjoy.
We had an absolutely wonderful.planning retreat! The space felt warm and inviting and was perfect for our group to dream God-sized dreams together. There was so much peace, rest, connection, and productivity as an outcome of our time spent at The Ark.
Getting married at Ark on Lake Lanier
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
