Just finished up with my 6th night at the Beatnik. I can’t recommend this place enough. If you like being in the mix of downtown Ocean Springs and enjoy the peacefulness of the oak covered streets then this is your spot!
Beatnik was a hidden gem. The modern independent room/ cabin with screen enclosed Terrance with rocking chairs and table were perfect to enjoy coffee and relax. The bed and pillows were very comfortable.
My husband and I absolutely loved our overnight stay in room #2. Everything was perfect. We relaxed by the pool time and even opted to have dinner on our screened in porch rather than go to a nearby restaurant just to have more time on property! Would highly recommend and we still be back for a longer stay.
Rooms were adorable, beautifully designed & very clean! Downfalls-no microwave and the ice machine didn’t work. Cabins are very close together and family with kids next door were rowdy in the pool and cabin in morning/PM. Road noise & train also loud.
Getting married at Beatnik
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
