We were there for my sons wedding. This place was perfect. They even had a beach wheelchair for my mom to be a part of her grandsons wedding. The penthouse suite was amazing as well as the reception area. The food served was amazing. All around, great time. The rooftop bar was nice.
The hotel was tastefully retro. The staff is obviously well-trained on 5-star standards. It was beautiful from inside to out; I wish I could've stayed longer. Their beach front bar & grill, Bongos, literally has tables in the sand under the palm trees, where they have a celebratory sunset toast each evening.
We had the most beautiful wedding at Bellwether Hotel last year. Bellwether is our favorite spot in St Pete - between the Bongos beach bar, pool, beach, etc. you have everything you need. Our guests had an amazing time. The venue was easy to work with and did everything they could to accommodate us during our event.
We absolutely loved our stay last week! The hotel had a great location! Rooms are very nice and roomy! Staff was so friendly! Loved the Cafe in the lobby! They made the best vanilla latte! Bongos was so convenient to eat after the beach or pool. We will definitely be back!
Getting married at Bellwether Beach Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
