From the reviews
I had a great experience at the Dolphin Beach Resort. The location is perfect! Walking distance to the beach and nearby restaurants and shops. The resort provided activities/games on the beach, which made my vacation more fun. I loved the idea of a drink and food stand they provided on the beach for beach goers.
My girlfriend and I spent the day over at the beach. Through some site she was able to get a day pass. We wanted to have a room and use it but not stay overnight , we just wanted to go to the beach. This was one of the very few places she was able to find that allowed such an arrangement.
We had the best time, the staff is great, the location is perfect! You get freebies each day and a discount on food, there are free shuttles to take you all over the place. Across the street is a Publix, a great Italian restaurant, dolphin cruise charters, and a Walgreens.
I didn't stay here, but six friends of mine did. They came to town due to a celebration of life for a dear friend of ours. A few friends, including myself, who live in the area went to the hotel to visit our friends who were staying there. We were there Friday night and Saturday night in the pool/bar area.
Getting married at Dolphin Beach Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
