Overall I would recommend staying here. The property is lovely and the view is stunning. The staff is very friendly. My only criticism is the furniture is way too big for the size of the rooms. This is mostly a note for management and not to deter guests.
Bluebird Ocean Point Inn was the highlight of our stay! The moment we stepped onto the property, we felt relaxed. It's such a lovely, remote spot on the Maine coast. We used Hyatt points to pay for the stay and opted for the Seaward Cottage for our family. It was lovely to have the extra space.
The excellent location was only surpassed by the superb five star food at Ocean Point Kitchen. Best scallop dinner I ever had. Key Lime Pie was never my wife’s favorite until she tried it there…strongly recommend!!!
We had a great time staying here. We had the deluxe king with private porch and it was spacious and had a beautiful view. Staff were really friendly and accommodating. Only about 15 minutes to downtown. Would definitely recommend others to stay here too!
Getting married at Bluebird Ocean Point Inn
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
