My now husband and I spent our “mini-moon” at SPI and loved everything about this place! All rooms are steps away from the ocean and the grounds are beautifully kept. The Oceanside pool and hot tub were so relaxing we didn’t want to leave for dinner! Sunset was beautiful! The boat cruise was amazing.
Wonderful place to stay! We have 3 under 3 and the staff were so great with our kids and there is so many things for them to do here! The rooms might be a little outdated but I didn’t notice it that much. The views are amazing and I love just taking my kids out for a stroll with all the beautiful scenery.
Very comfortable resort in a beautifull setting. Especially the spacious rooms and pool by the sea are top. Remarks about the wear and tear of the resort are exaggerated in my view. It has that nice English/old feeling that goes well with some missing paint here and there.
Girls week with one friend. We stayed in the main inn. The room is older with a New England charm. We loved the spa; had wonderful massages. the location is fantastic. The grounds are beautiful and I enjoyed our meals at the restaurants.

Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
