I've been visiting here with my mom for a couple years now and gosh I love it! Love that it's dog friendly, great location, super comfortable beds. At this point we've stayed in most all of the different cottages and they are all fantastic. I can't recommend enough!!
Boardwalk Cottages is an absolute delight! From the moment you arrive, the immaculate, stylishly decorated cottages make you feel right at home. The location is unbeatable—tucked away in a quiet corner of Long Beach yet just a short, scenic walk to both the ocean boardwalk and the charming downtown shops.
The stay was fantastic! I didn’t know what to expect as it was my first time in this part of the state and I was pleasantly surprised in so many ways. Very dog friendly, everything you could need is a short walk away, very friendly people, very good food, so close to a quiet beach, and a comfortable bed!
This place is so awesome! I loved everything about it- cute, comfy, quaint. We walked over to a nearby restaurant for take out and ate on the deck, then we grabbed an afagato in the Current cafe for dessert.
Getting married at Boardwalk Cottages
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
