This place is a gem! Absolutely fantastic room with very comfortable beds. Everything looks new and fresh! The staff are all super friendly and welcoming. We loved soaking in the clean hot tub after a rad day on the beach. They had everything we needed for a fantastic trip to Bodega Bay. 100% recommend!
Overall an excellent experience. Staff is incredibly friendly---nice to stay in a family run business. Room is a bit small, though I was warned about that. And could probably use a little updating, but was fine. Was nice to be able to get a pet friendly room only a few days before the weekend.
The owner, Ted, and all of the hosts are so lovely. They are so accommodating and kind, always quick to meet guests’ needs. Location is perfect, just a short drive from the beach and many great, easy walking/hiking trails. Lots of good restaurants also in close proximity.
We stayed at the Bodega Bay Inn for one night on our Coastal trip South on Hwy 1 the end of April. Pete was our concierge on arrival and was amazing. He actually gave us a bottle of sparkling wine, didn't realize he new it was it anniversary trip. We had a beautiful room on the 2nd floor with our own private balcony.
Getting married at Bodega Bay Inn
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
