Wife loved the easy beach access She would grab a cup of coffee and just go wander the beach. Easy access and large lots. We stayed in the blue area I think. One street off the beach access.
Camp Hatteras RV Resort was a great campground to get away for some peace and quiet. Nestled in a small town with local shops, restaurants and gas stations, the campground is quiet and the spots were spacious and we didn’t feel crowded.
We had a great stay even though it was very windy and cold the week of our stay, we enjoyed the campground, we never saw any staff the entirety of our stay which was a little different but luckily never needed them for anything.
We checked in on Saturday at our site and saw we had an electrical issue with the breaker box. A phone call to the office and within 5 minutes Bob was here and replaced the breaker within 10 minutes. We are at 166 with a short walk to the beach, clean bathrooms and a lot to do, very nice camping experience
Getting married at Camp Hatteras RV Resort & Campground
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
